Trying to write a book - WTF?
I want to write a really awesome book. I've been trying to do so for the past two years, but so far, not much has come together. I actually wrote a good fraction of what could've been a "book" but was more like a diary where I just babbled about a guy I really liked, and how I had such a hard time not binging on chocolate, and, that's pretty much it. Definetly not what we're aiming for... My biggest problem is the mammoth expectations I set on myself (or, to myself? I don't do grammar very well... ) Anyways, I kind of always pictured myself writing this amazing, New York Times bestseller about life as a twenty-one year old. It would be really funny and super smart, making all the readers fall in love with me. It would also be really sentimental and touch upon tricky topics like depression and losing a loved one, making me even more interesting. Plus, my writing would be coated with layers of philosophy where I suddenly bring in Nietzsche and Plato (ma...
